Police have arrested a man found hanging from a Plymouth bridge by a rope tied around his waist.
Police report that at just before 9pm on Thursday, January 24, police were called to Gdynia Way in Plymouth following a report of a man with a rope around his waist suspended and hanging from a bridge above the road.
Police closed the road and with the help of firefighters the man was removed uninjured at around 10.15pm.
A local man, namely Lee Bassett aged 29 years was arrested and taken to Charles Cross Police Station.
He was later charged with causing danger to other road users and released on bail to appear before South & West Devon Magistrates on February 11.
