A VEHICLE fire in Axminster has also lead to the windows of a department store being damaged this evening (January 15).
A fire crew from Axminster was mobilised to reports of a vehicle fire in The Square at around 7.20pm.
Crews found one private vehicle on a public highway well alight and set to work extinguishing the fire using two breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and two dry powder extinguishers.
A spokesman said: "The fire spread to a department store's windows causing damage. The cause was accidental."
