Criminal damage to South Devon Railway

A 20 year old man from Buckfastleigh has been charged with assault with intent to resist arrest and criminal damage following an incident near Totnes on January 2.
Officers were called to Staverton Railway Station at lunchtime following a report that a man assaulted a member of the railway staff. He was held at the scene until police arrived.
Christopher Margrie was arrested by police and interviewed before also being charged with criminal damage to a number of carriage windows. The damage has an estimated cost of £1,000.
He will appear before South and West Devon Magistrates on January 17.
