Two Plymouth drug dealers have been sentenced to a total of 11 years 3 months in jail after their conviction for conspiracy to supply both Class A and B drugs.

Wayne Sandercock aged 38 years, from Southway Drive and Simon Payne also aged 38 years from Pennycross had pleaded guilty at a previous hearing on 6th November.

Sandercock was sentenced to eight and a half years imprisonment and Payne received two years and nine months imprisonment.

The case was brought following the execution of drugs search warrants at their home addresses and a garage rented by Sandercock in the Whitleigh area of Plymouth in May 2010.

When officers searched the garage they seized large quantities of controlled drugs including cocaine valued at £33,000 and 1.5 kilos of amphetamine valued at £18,000.

The drugs were found contained in a metal toolbox bolted to the floor.

Other items seized included knives, rubber gloves, packaging and a police extendable baton.

Following the case, Detective Constable ken Ord said: “I am very pleased with the result which has brought to an end an investigation involving two people involved in substantial drug supply in Plymouth.

“It is not very often you seize drugs in such quantities which were intended for sale after they had been mixed with a cutting agent in the garage".
