THE latest adult health survey concluded that patients of all ages now stand a better chance of retaining a considerable number of healthy teeth throughout their long life than ever before.

The survey also found, however, that 45% of adults have moderate to advanced gum disease and for those patients over 45, the outlook may be compromised owing to higher levels of dental disease experienced earlier in their life.

The key to improving patient outcomes in dentistry is the establishment and maintenance of a trusting relationship between the patient and their dentist.

The dentist should always have a focus on prevention of disease and maintenance of oral health for the long term.

Performing a thorough dental examination takes time and as a patient you deserve this time.

At Whyman House Dental Practice we pride ourselves in making time and building this trusting relationship.
