STAFF at Taunton’s Musgrove Park Hospital will be able to try out the working environment in a £34million surgical wards building – a year before it accepts its first patients.
The Jubilee Building, which will have 112 single, en suite bedrooms, will replace facilities built in the 1940s.
Building work began in March and a topping out ceremony is being held next Friday, November 16, as the building’s highest point is reached.
Taunton Deane MP Jeremy Browne will be there – along with the longest-serving employee and most recent recruit
A ‘mock-up’ room, with a section of corridor and a bedroom, has been created for Musgrove staff to undergo training before the building becomes operational.
