Duck race spectacular

BARNSTAPLE will be hosting the biggest duck race spectacle that the town has ever seen on August 9 ... and you can be a part of it.
People are being asked to adopt' a duck to race down the river Taw.
Starting at Iron Bridge, which is at the far end of Rock Park, at 12.30, the ducks will be raced down the river and the first duck to cross the line wins.
Each duck is marked with a number and the winning duck's owner' will win a West End theatre break for two including hotel and breakfast.
All money raised by the event will go to the Children's Hospice South West.
