Little Night Music comes to Exeter

ONE of Stephen Sondheim’s best loved musicals is being staged by Exeter University’s Footlights Society.

A Little Night Music follows vivacious actress Desiree, who is looking for love after leaving her glamorous life to tour the country.

With two married men at her heels and their suspicious wives in tow, a number of frivolous events take place when all the characters are invited by Desiree’s mother for a weekend in the country.

The show promises to be an entertaining mix of witty dialogue and poignant songs, including Send in the Clowns.

It will be one of the first performances staged at Reed Hall in Streatham Drive for some years, making it an extra special production.

The musical runs from June 4 to June 7 and reservations can be made by emailing cam228@exeter.ac.uk with tickets costing £8 on the door.
