David Tennant has been cast as the late Robin Williams’ replacement in voicing the lead role for an adaptation of the Chew comics.
The Broadchurch and Doctor Who star is stepping in to cover the role that was originally meant for comic actor Robin, who died last year, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Chew will be adapted from the Image Comics tale into an animated film about the US Food and Drug Administration agent who solves crimes by receiving psychic impressions.
Also signed up to the voice cast are Walking Dead star Steven Yeun and web series The Guild creator Felicia Day.
Torchwood: Web Of Lies director Jeff Krelitz is also on board to lead the film, with a script adapted by Chew comics co-creator John Layman.
David can also be seen this year in TV series Jessica Jones, about a former superhero who decides to become a private investigator.
