PEOPLE in Tiverton are being given the chance to try fencing for free.
Instructor Ben Hodgson has teamed up with the 5X30 Project to offer a taster session in a sport that improves flexibility, strength, balance, dexterity, hand-eye co-ordination, physical and mental agility and explosive leg power.
The session takes place on Wednesday, June 18 from 8-10pm at Moorhayes Community Centre and is open to everyone over the age of 11.
You'll need to wear tracksuit trousers, trainers, lightweight top and bring along a drink. All equipment will be provided. For More Information, call Ben on 01884 259962 or email konigrot@hotmail.com This session is being funded by the 5X30 Project, which aims to help people become "more active, more often" to improve their health. Local community activator Lindsay Cameron said: "The 5X30 Project helps individuals and groups to do 30 minutes of physical activity, five times a week.
"I'm really excited about this taster session because fencing is such a brilliant way to get fit, have fun and meet new people."
